Today, I’m pleased to announce an important milestone in GMC’s journey. We have officially entered into an agreement to be acquired by Hugo Inc., a move that positions us for greater growth, expanded capabilities, and new market opportunities.
Who is Hugo? Hugo is one of the fastest-growing BPOs with deep expertise in customer experience and AI/ML data operations. They operate primarily out of Africa, where they’ve built strong, highly skilled teams that support some of the world’s most innovative companies. By joining forces, we bring together complementary strengths that allow us to support the full customer experience, from sales and onboarding to support and retention.
Why Hugo? We chose Hugo because they share our priorities: investing in people, a deep commitment to quality, and building long-term relationships rooted in trust. From our earliest conversations, it was clear that this partnership was a natural fit, one that strengthens what we’ve built and supports our continued growth, while staying true to the principles and relationships that have shaped GMC over the years.
This decision comes after months of thoughtful evaluation and planning. Our commitment to our customers, our team, and our core values has guided every step of this process. Joining Hugo opens the door to new resources, new opportunities, and an even stronger foundation for the future.
With this transition, we also want to share that Hank Seevers, co-founder and long-time business partner, has chosen to retire. He will stay with GMC as a Strategic Advisor and minority owner. His leadership, vision, dedication, and willingness to take bold risks have shaped GMC from day one, and his impact will be felt for decades to come. We are deeply grateful for his contributions and wish him nothing but fulfillment in this next chapter.
I also want to reassure our team members, partners, and clients that our key leadership team will remain fully onboard and operationally, it’s business as usual. Day-to-day responsibilities, client relationships, and service delivery continue uninterrupted. I will continue to operate and fulfill my current responsibilities, and I am retaining minority ownership in GMC. We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition and to continuing the work, culture, and mission that have brought us here.
This acquisition marks the beginning of an exciting new era. With the support of Hugo Inc., we will be able to accelerate innovation, strengthen our services, and create expanded opportunities for our team.
We will be sharing additional updates and timelines in the coming weeks, but for now… thank you for your trust, your hard work, and your belief in what we’ve built and will continue to build together.
